The Miami Dolphins whipped out the checkbook this offseason and added some high-priced veterans in an effort to improve upon their second place finish in the AFC East last season. Despite finishing 7-9 overall the Dolphins went just 2-4 in the division. To improve upon that they've signed wide receiver Mike Wallace, tight end Dustin Keller, linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, cornerback Brent Grimes and other free agents. While they were doing that, cornerback Sean Smith and left tackle Jake Long went elsewhere. In our 2013 NFL Mock Draft, the Dolphins take a step towards solidifying their offensive line by draft Alabama right tackle D.J. Fluker.

The Miami Dolphins like 2012 NFL Draft pick Jonathan Martin as an option to move over the left tackle, which makes Alabama right tackle D.J. Fluker a nice fit on the other side. Two solid, bookend tackles for their offensive line to protect Ryan Tannehill. With improved options on the outside for Ryan Tannehill to throw to, this season could see a big step forward on offense if the Dolphins go that route and improve their offensive line.

Mark Stowers of Dolphins 101 made the selection for the Miami Dolphins:

"Taking an offensive lineman in the first round is a no-brainer for the Fins. After losing Jake Long in free agency and picking some valuable offensive pieces they’ll need a clean, uninjured quarterback to get the football to their new toys. D.J. Fluker will handle laundry duties for Ryan Tannehill. The redshirt junior weighs in at 335 pounds and stands 6-foot, 6-inches. He’s a terror as a run blocker and his incredible “wingspan” allows him plenty of length to keep pass rushers off his quarterback."

With the Dolphins looking to protect their quarterback at No. 12, we return to the New York Jets at No. 13 after the Darrelle Revis trade brought them an extra first round pick. Will the Jets turn their attention to their own offense or will they continue to focus on stop other offenses around the NFL?
